Our story
The story of MST-Yhtiöt began in 2003 when two young women, Mia and Satu, spent an evening at the Naantali Spa. Both were tired of their current careers, and as the evening went on, a wild idea for their own, joint business, was born.
Unlike most ideas born over cocktails, the spark of this idea remained alive. It wasn’t long before the spark turned into a larger flame, and later that same year, Mia and Satu founded their own accounting firm – and gave it the initials of their first names.
Their first clients were welcomed into the basement of a house under construction, but soon enough, there were dozens of clients, and the office moved to rented premises in the upstairs of a local pizzeria in Kerava. During the following year, the smell of pizza became familiar to the women, but despite this, the business grew rapidly, and the firm hired its first full-time employee.
In 2017, the upstairs of the pizzeria had become too small for the growing team, and the business moved to the Klondyke building in Kerava, where it still operates today. Over the years, the office space has expanded from 23 square meters to 500 square meters, the number of employees has grown from one to over twenty, and both the turnover and the number of clients have multiplied.
What started as a wild idea by two women has now become an authorized accounting firm, which operates carefully according to the laws and best practices in the financial services sector. In addition to ensuring a high level of professionalism and service, Mia and Satu also believe in helping new professionals build their careers, which is why the company has its own training program for vocational and higher education students.
This successful growth story is far from over. In the future, Mia and Satu continue to focus on the growth and development of their business, investing boldly and expanding their operations. As curious, enthusiastic and innovative pioneers, the women are also determined to challenge the traditional practices and models in their field.
And to this day, Mia and Satu regularly travel to Naantali Spa, where the laughter rings even louder, and ideas for the future and visions fly freely – even wilder than before.
